BSH Students raise $8,383.39 for Haiti Relief

Representatives from the American Red Cross Greater Houston Area Chapter visited British School of Houston on Wednesday, May 5th. Students were honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for their efforts in the immediate weeks following the Haiti disaster. A total of $8,383.39 was raised through bake sales and other fundraising events. These funds, in conjunction with other donations, touched thousands of victims and were used to administer 150,000 inoculations and erect permanent shelter and housing.
This demonstration of good will has raised our students to “Red Cross Hero” status. We have committed to continue our partnership with the Red Cross in support providing ongoing relief efforts to victims of local and global tragedies. An awesome demonstration of good will and an amazing achievement to be recognized by such highly motivated students!
